- a few students gave acceptable functions, but even fewer showed that these functions satisfied the desired conditons.
- I believe this was a VERY difficult problem, please don't be discouraged if you didn't get the answer correct.
(5) 25 pts.
- students also had difficulty with this problem.
- many students wanted to prove this by contradiction, but it's just as easy to prove in the postive way, and more elegant.
- I think it would be very beneficial to look at the problems to both of these problems.
