Orange-Lemon Cake

Sift together

  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking sode
  • 1 tsp salt

Blend

  • 1/2 orange skin + pulp
  • 1/2 lemon skin + pulp
  • 2/3 cup butter
  • 2/3c orange juice
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

Add 2 eggs and 1 1/3 cups sugar, and combine.

Bake at 350 degrees F, for 25-30 minutes.

You can also make frosting. Blend

  • 2 cups confectioner's sugar
  • 1/2 fresh orange and 1/2 fresh lemon
  • 1/4 lb soft butter

or

  • 1 cup confectioner's sugar
  • 2 oz semi-sweet chocolate
  • 1 oz bitter chocolate
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice
